The Phoenix Suns' vacant head coaching job will belong to Philadelphia 76ers assistant Monty Williams if he wants it, sources told the New York Times' Marc Stein.
However, no offer has yet been extended to Williams, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Williams is also reported to be an in-demand candidate for other head coaching openings and has been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Suns reportedly interviewed Williams last week in Toronto, where he was for the first two games of the 76ers' second-round playoff series.
Williams last ran an NBA bench with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2015.
Phoenix fired Igor Kokoskov after just one season on April 23.
