Kerr, Curry not worried about Drake's presence in Finals
The Milwaukee Bucks' fan base and head coach Mike Budenholzer took exception to Drake's antics during the team's Eastern Conference finals matchup against the Toronto Raptors, calling out the Canadian rapper for roaming the sideline and stepping onto the floor.
The Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, don't see Drake as an issue before squaring off against the Raptors in the NBA Finals on Thursday.
"I'm not worried about Drake," said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr on Monday, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell. "I called him on his cell phone earlier ... my daughter just rolled her eyes, 'no more dad jokes please.'"
Drake has said in the past that he considers Warriors guard Stephen Curry to be family, and he even has the two-time Most Valuable Player's No. 30 tattooed on his arm. Their preexisting relationship could explain Curry's acceptance of Champagne Papi's actions.
"It's been entertaining," Curry said of Drake's shenanigans. "It's a tricky situation with him being right there on the court, but at the end of the day he's having fun. I can't hate on nobody having fun. I guess in this life everybody hates on people having fun. It's par for the course on that one."
Drake massaged Raptors head coach Nick Nurse's shoulders during the fourth quarter of Toronto's blowout Game 4 victory over Milwaukee. Bovada was taking prop bets on whether Drake would do the same in Game 6, and he did.
