Kawhi says Toronto house purchase 'didn't happen yet'
With Kawhi Leonard on the brink of leading the Toronto Raptors to an NBA championship, the next big question revolves around his anticipated free agency.
On Sunday, Leonard was asked if there's any truth to a report he's purchased a house in Toronto.
"No it didn't," he replied. "Didn't happen yet."
Last week, TSN 1050's Michael Landsberg reported that two sources told him Leonard bought property in the Toronto area.
The two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year is widely expected to opt out of the final year of his current contract and enter unrestricted free agency on June 30. His hometown Los Angeles Clippers have been heavily rumored to be interested in signing him.
Game 5 of the NBA Finals goes on Monday night in Toronto, and the Raptors can earn the franchise's first title with a win.
