Riding the high of a hard-fought victory in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson made sure to fire some verbal shots at Toronto Raptors ambassador Drake as he greeted his teammates off-court following the final buzzer.
"See ya in the Bay, Aubrey. You weren't talking tonight, were ya? With your bum ass," Thompson said with Drake - whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham - standing nearby.
Kevin Durant - absent for a seventh consecutive game due to an injured calf - also exchanged words with the Canadian rapper.
Thompson exited with just under eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter due to left hamstring tightness but doesn't expect to miss Game 3 at Oracle Arena on Wednesday.
The Grammy-winning artist trolled Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green on social media after Toronto took Game 1 of the best-of-seven series on Thursday. The league office also had conversations with Drake and his manager regarding his courtside behavior after he massaged Raptors head coach Nick Nurse's shoulders during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals.
