Marvin Williams has exercised his $15-million player option to remain with the Charlotte Hornets for the 2019-20 campaign, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The veteran forward averaged 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game last season, his fifth in Charlotte.
The soon-to-be 33-year-old is set to be the third-highest-paid player on the roster following Nicolas Batum ($25.6 million) and Bismack Biyombo ($17 million). That does not account for the possibility of re-signing All-Star point guard Kemba Walker, who will hit unrestricted free agency this summer.
