With the No. 38 pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls selected Arkansas center Daniel Gafford.
The 6-foot-11 big man was projected as a mid-first rounder last season but chose to remain in Arkansas, eventually hurting his stock by not showing much progress. However, he remains a useful rim-running center that should fit into today's style of play.
Gafford comfortably bumped his averages up to 16.9 points and 8.7 rebounds in an increased role with the Razorbacks.

What the analysts are saying
- "(Gafford's) length, fluidity, and finishing will make him of interest to teams that like to spread the floor around their five men, but Gafford is more smooth and lanky than he is functionally explosive, and his feet and hands are just average. Still, Gafford won't need heavy post-up touches to be effective as a finisher, rebounds the ball well, and will have a chance to add value through those strengths." - Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo
