Report: Bucks plan to re-sign Middleton on 5-year, $178M contract

The Milwaukee Bucks plan to re-sign All-Star wing Khris Middleton to a five-year, $178-million deal when free agency opens, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The final year of Middleton's contract is reportedly expected to be a player option.

Through six seasons in Milwaukee, Middleton has averaged 16.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 39 percent from the 3-point line. He broke through as an All-Star this past season, forming a dynamic tandem with 2018-19 MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

In keeping Middleton, the Bucks have retained most of the core that won a league-best 60 games before a run to the Eastern Conference finals. The team previously inked guard Eric Bledsoe to a four-year, $70-million extension in March and will also reportedly re-sign free-agent center Brook Lopez to a four-year, $52-million contract.

Meanwhile, trade deadline acquisition Nikola Mirotic has reportedly left the NBA to sign with EuroLeague powerhouse Barcelona and Malcolm Brogdon has reportedly landed with the Indiana Pacers via a sign-and-trade.
