The Boston Celtics have inked a two-year contract with French center Vincent Poirier, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The 7-footer led the EuroLeague in rebounding during his 2018-19 season, corralling 8.3 boards per game for Spanish side Baskonia. In addition to his prowess on the glass, the 25-year-old chipped in a team-high 11.9 points on a roster featuring former NBA talents such as Tornike Shengelia, Darrun Hilliard, and Marcelo Huertas.
Poirier joins the Celtics' new-look center rotation, which lost Al Horford and Aron Baynes this offseason and added Enes Kanter. Also on the projected roster are holdovers Daniel Theis and "Time Lord" Robert Williams.
