Report: Grizzlies trade Korver to Suns for Jackson, picks
The Memphis Grizzlies have traded Kyle Korver and Jevon Carter to the Phoenix Suns for De'Anthony Melton, Josh Jackson, a 2020 second-round pick, and a conditional 2021 second-rounder, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Phoenix is expected to buy out Korver's partially guaranteed contract, and the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks are front-runners to land the sharpshooting veteran, Wojnarowski reports.
Korver remains one of the best marksmen in the Association, as he shot nearly 40 percent from beyond the arc last season.
The impending buyout will open the necessary cap space for the Suns to sign point guard Ricky Rubio to a reported three-year, $51-million deal.
Jackson was the No. 4 pick in the 2017 draft but averaged just 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 79 games during his second season.
