All-Summer League teams announced, Grizzlies' Clarke named MVP
As chosen by members of the media, the NBA announced the first- and second-team selections for the 2019 Summer League - including tournament MVP - on Monday.
Memphis Grizzlies rookie Brandon Clarke was named MVP. The No. 21 pick out of Gonzaga has averaged 14.6 points on 57.1 percent shooting with 8.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 blocks in 21.4 minutes per game.
The honorees are a mix of players with NBA experience and those fresh off the 2019 entry draft. Prominent names include Jarrett Allen of the Brooklyn Nets, who averaged 16.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks over five appearances, and the New York Knicks' Mitchell Robinson, who put up 13.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game over five outings.
