Report: Bagley withdraws from Team USA to focus on Kings' season
Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III has withdrawn from consideration for USA Basketball's FIBA World Cup roster to focus on the 2019-20 NBA season, sources told The New York Times' Marc Stein.
Bagley, who was part of the younger Select Team at the national team camp in Las Vegas, was a contender to make the final 12-man squad after surviving the first round of cuts announced on Saturday.
Forward Harrison Barnes and point guard De'Aaron Fox are still representing the Kings on Team USA's current roster. Both are strong contenders to make the final team, adds Stein.
With Bagley bowing out, Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich will need to cut four more players.
