L2M report: Lakers took lead on missed offensive foul by LeBron

The Los Angeles Lakers shot a pair of go-ahead free throws in Friday's 99-97 win over the Sacramento Kings due to a costly non-call on LeBron James.

Harrison Barnes was whistled for a defensive foul on James with 5.5 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. However, James actually committed an offensive foul by "extending his elbow into Barnes' chin" before the defender initiated contact, according to the league's last-two minute report.

The incorrect foul call resulted in free throws for James, which he drained to give Los Angeles a two-point advantage late in the contest.

Barnes had a chance to send the game to overtime but came up short when his layup attempt was blocked by Anthony Davis with seconds remaining.

The win improved the Lakers' record to 10-2, while the Kings dropped to 4-7.
