Orlando Magic forward Al-Farouq Aminu is out indefinitely after an MRI revealed he sustained a torn meniscus, the team announced Sunday.
The Magic are in the process of determining whether the 29-year-old's affliction can be treated without surgery, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Aminu signed a three-year, $29.2-million contract with Orlando this summer after four seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Wake Forest product had appeared in all 18 of the Magic's games so far this season, averaging 4.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and one steal in just over 21 minutes per contest.
