Reinforcements are on the way for the Brooklyn Nets.
Guard Caris LeVert is expected to return to the team's lineup against the Toronto Raptors on Saturday after missing seven weeks following surgery on his right thumb, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The 25-year-old suffered ligament damage to his right thumb on Nov. 10 against the Phoenix Suns. He was averaging 16.8 points, five rebounds, and four assists while connecting on 36.1% of his 3-point attempts.
LeVert signed a three-year, $52.5-million extension with Brooklyn in August.
The fourth-year pro will be a welcome addition to a Nets club that's been without star guard Kyrie Irving for the past 22 games.
