Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic turned his right ankle in practice Thursday and will undergo an MRI on Friday, The New York Times' Marc Stein reports.
The Slovenian previously missed four games after injuring the same ankle against the Miami Heat on Dec. 14. Doncic's latest injury is believed to be similar to the sprain he suffered earlier this season, sources told ESPN's Tim MacMahon.
Doncic won't travel to Houston for the team's contest against the Rockets on Friday night, and is also expected to miss Saturday's game at home against the Atlanta Hawks, MacMahon adds.
The standout sophomore is averaging 28.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 8.7 assists in 43 games this season for the 29-18 Mavericks.
