Horford: 'There's some stuff going on' in 76ers' locker room
The Philadelphia 76ers have been struggling of late, losing three consecutive games heading into their matchup against the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
Forward Al Horford provided an honest assessment when asked whether any 76ers players need to be called out amid the team's recent skid.
"There's some stuff going on in our locker room, and we'll keep that internal," Horford said Wednesday, according to Jon Johnson of SportsRadio 94WIP.
"We all know we need to be better. We need to step it up, and it's a great opportunity to do it tomorrow (against the Bucks)," Horford continued.
The Sixers have lost three of four contests since Joel Embiid returned to their lineup after missing nine games with a torn finger ligament. On Wednesday, Embiid hinted at frustration toward his current offensive role.
"From time to time, you don't know what you're getting. I don't know if I'm going into the game and if I'm getting the ball or not, but that should never affect anything," Embiid told The Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey. "It starts on defense. We still got to do our job, even if it's not getting the ball some nights, we still got to go hard."
Embiid also admitted the 76ers lack an offensive identity and pointed to the team's spacing being an issue, according to KYW Newsradio's Dave Uram.
Philadelphia enters Wednesday sitting sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 31-20 record.
