Curry 'not rushing' return from injury, still targeting early March
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry continues to eye the first week of March for his return from a fractured left hand.
In an interview aired during ESPN's broadcast of the Warriors' game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, Curry was asked if he still hoped to return in early March.
"That's the plan," the two-time MVP responded. "It's been the plan since surgery, knowing the timeline with the injury as severe as it was.
"I'm not rushing, but I'm setting a goal that hopefully I can meet - first week of March - to get back out on the floor, join my teammates, and hopefully end the season on a strong note."
Curry suffered the injury in the fourth game of the season. With fellow backcourt star Klay Thompson missing the entire campaign to date due to an ACL injury, the Warriors have floundered to a league-worst 12-40 (.231) record entering Saturday's tilt.
