MJ: Carter's elbow slam 'the most amazing dunk I have ever seen'
Few are more qualified to evaluate dunks than Michael Jordan, one of the greatest dunkers of all time. In the spirit of the upcoming Slam Dunk contest, His Airness shared his opinion on the greatest aerial feat he's ever witnessed.
"The most amazing dunk I have ever seen is probably Vince Carter when he hung his elbow in the rim," Jordan told The Associated Press' Tim Reynolds and Steve Reed. "To me, that was, without question, just unbelievable," he added.
Carter's awe-inspiring jam took place during the legendary 2000 Slam Dunk contest. The Atlanta Hawks forward's performance is widely regarded as one of the greatest in the competition's history, alongside Jordan and Dominique Wilkins' athletic displays during their famous battle in the 1988 dunk contest.
This year's Slam Dunk contest takes place Saturday night at the United Center in Chicago.
