Weird Week in π: Mic'd up Darius Miles, the NBA gets romantic
Every Sunday, theScore highlights the week's lighter moments from around the basketball universe. Here's what caught our eye this week.
Walk a Miles in his shoes
The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game is a veritable who's who of who cares, but the annual exhibition is technically part of All-Star Weekend, so we have little choice but to acknowledge its existence.
Rapper Common technically took home MVP honors, but it was former NBA forward Darius Miles who was the real standout, providing some moments of levity in what was an otherwise dull and, at times, incomprehensible affair.

Miles, who played 446 games from 2000 to 2009, continually ran afoul of the broadcast's censors, which, frankly, should be expected when you mic up a player mid-game.
Q: "Did you do any preparation for this game?"

A: " I stretched all week... and it hurt"
On Stephen A: "He just holler at us all the time... whole lotta hollering, he's real loud... like Bob Knight" pic.twitter.com/KqRmye2Wb7
It was Miles' finest on-screen performance since he starred alongside the likes of Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson in 2004's "The Perfect Score."
Rules of the (Celebrity) game
Speaking of the Celebrity Game, the contest was filled with challenges that were generally unrelated to the sport of basketball but still had an impact on the outcome for some reason.

At one point, Chance the Rapper beat Common in a game of rock-paper-scissors for the right to play cornhole against Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis (?). Chance lost to Davis, which resulted in Common's squad (coached by ESPN's Michael Wilbon) gaining four bonus points (??).
Somehow, the new twists made the unique rules apparently used in North Korea seem reasonable.

Doumbouya's disposition
Detroit Pistons coach Dwane Casey told the media that he's "very concerned" about rookie Sekou Doumbouya's current outlook ... because the 19-year-old forward doesn't appear to be having much luck on the dating scene.
"I'm very concerned with Sekou," Dwane Casey said about Sekou Doumbouya on Monday.

A thrifty date isn't always a Smart date
Meanwhile, Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart had some words of advice for those planning a romantic Valentine's Day date.
Listen young fellas- if the dinner costs less than $10 or has the words β2 for 1β in it, we gonna need to talk. Show some love tonight. Open the door for her. Donβt mention Venmo. Put ur phone down. Happy Valentines Day yβall. pic.twitter.com/6vEWBPdi7S

Should Doumbouya ever manage to land a date, he should definitely heed these tips.
Boban this way
Say what you want about his fit in today's perimeter-oriented NBA, but Boban Marjanovic sure can carry a tune.

Wax on, wax off
Let's check in on former NBA center Scot Pollard, who appears to employ a small team of people to wax his (seemingly hairless?) back and film it all.

I have but one question: Why?
You reach, he teach
If you let your science teacher dunk on you, you have to hang back a grade.
