The Toronto Raptors have earned their first series sweep.
Norman Powell scored a team-high 29 points on 9-of-14 shooting off the bench as the Raptors blew out the Brooklyn Nets 150-122 in Game 4, securing a matchup against the Boston Celtics in Round 2.
Serge Ibaka contributed 27 points and 15 rebounds, while Pascal Siakam added 20 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds for the Raptors.
Toronto set a new franchise single-game scoring record (including the regular season and playoffs) during the decisive victory.
The Raps' reserves led the charge offensively, with Toronto becoming the first team to score 100 bench points in an NBA game. The Golden State Warriors held the previous regular-season record with 94 points, while the Dallas Mavericks' bench tallied 86 points in a playoff game, as The Athletic's Eric Koreen notes.
"I think we just have confidence in each and every one of us that step on the floor and we work on offense," Powell said postgame, according to The Associated Press' Brian Mahoney. "I don't think it really matters who's in the game."
Unfortunately, it wasn't all good news for Toronto on Sunday night. All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry exited during the first half after injuring his left foot. The floor general underwent diagnostic imaging, and his status for the team's series against Boston has yet to be determined.
