Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum says he's putting a moratorium on signing autographs for fans amid the growing coronavirus threat.
McCollum is referring to the confirmation of the first known case of COVID-19 in Oregon on Friday, where a Lake Oswego school employee contracted the disease.
The current coronavirus outbreak has infected almost 86,000 people worldwide since December, leading to just under 3,000 deaths. On Friday, German soccer club Bayern Munich asked players to avoid signing autographs or posing for selfies with fans as a precaution against the illness.
