Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns and Monday's clash with the Denver Nuggets after an MRI revealed a minor joint-capsule sprain in his left knee, the Milwaukee Bucks announced.
A determination on Antetokounmpo's status for Thursday's home game against the Boston Celtics will be made later this week.
The 25-year-old took a hard fall in Friday's 113-103 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, though he ultimately remained in the game.
Antetokounmpo, the league's reigning MVP, is averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and one steal in 30.9 minutes per game this season.
The Bucks are presently 8 1/2 games up on the Toronto Raptors for first in the Eastern Conference with 19 regular-season games remaining.
