Report: Pistons' Wood tests positive for coronavirus
The Detroit Pistons announced that an unnamed player on the team has tested positive for COVID-19; league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania the player in question is big man Christian Wood.
Wood is reportedly asymptomatic.
Prior to the stoppage of the NBA season, the Pistons played the Utah Jazz on March 7, whose All-Star duo of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell are the only players in the league who are confirmed to have tested positive to date.
The 24-year-old Wood spent much of the game in contact with Gobert, finishing with a 30-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Several days later, Wood reported flu-like symptoms the morning of March 11, prior to playing against the Philadelphia 76ers, league sources told Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix. Wood played, scoring a career-high 32 points.
Wood, who bounced between four teams through his first three seasons in the NBA, has emerged as a rotational player in Detroit. In 62 appearances, the 6-foot-10 power forward is averaging career highs of 13.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game with 38.6% shooting on 3-point attempts.
Wood will be an unrestricted free agent whenever the 2020 offseason begins.
