The NBA postponed both the draft lottery and the combine, the league announced Friday. Both events were scheduled for May in Chicago.
The league said more information about rescheduling will be shared at a later date "as the NBA continues to closely monitor the coronavirus pandemic and consult with infectious disease specialists, public health experts, and government officials."
The lottery was supposed to be held May 19, with the combine to follow immediately afterward.
As of Friday, the draft itself is still scheduled for June 25, but that is expected to also be pushed back as the league considers possible options for finishing the 2019-20 season.
