Former NBA player JR Smith said Saturday night that he attacked a man who vandalized his vehicle during protests in Los Angeles.

The incident was captured on video.
Smith and former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Jordan Clarkson took part in protests Saturday in Los Angeles.
The Cavs released Smith last July.
