Report: Clippers to sign Noah for remainder of season
The Los Angeles Clippers plan to sign center Joakim Noah next week to a rest-of-season deal, reports The Atheltic's Shams Charania.
Noah is currently on a 10-day contract that reportedly expires June 23.
He first signed with the Clippers on March 9, two days before the campaign was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Noah's contract had since been essentially frozen due to the hiatus.
The 35-year-old hasn't played in a game since March 23, 2019, during his one-year stint with the Memphis Grizzlies. He said earlier this month he was "grateful" to the Clippers for providing him with another championship opportunity.
The NBA is reportedly instituting a one-week transaction window for all 30 teams beginning Tuesday. The period will allow the 22 clubs heading to Orlando this summer to prepare for the resumption of the season.
