Oladipo to ramp up activity before committing to restart
Victor Oladipo plans to use next week to ramp up his workouts before making a final decision on playing in the NBA's planned restart, he told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Indiana Pacers star only played in 13 games this season before the league suspended play. That followed a one-year layoff due to a torn quad tendon suffered in January 2019.
"I feel a whole lot better," Oladipo said. "I know there's risk going into it with the unique situation that I'm in, being off so long and trying to ramp it up that fast. I've just got to be smart, that's all."
Players must inform their teams by Wednesday if they plan to participate in the NBA's Florida bubble. However, players like Oladipo with injury concerns can push their decision into July. Training camps are set to begin July 9 in Florida.
Since joining the Pacers in 2017, Oladipo has averaged 20.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and two steals per game.
