Denver Nuggets All-Star center Nikola Jokic tested positive for the coronavirus in his native Serbia, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst.
Jokic is reportedly asymptomatic, but the positive result has temporarily delayed his return to the United States. He is expected to be cleared to travel to Denver within a week.
Jokic was photographed with tennis star and fellow Serb Novak Djokovic at an event last week. Djokovic tested positive for the coronavirus this week.
NBA teams were scheduled to begin coronavirus testing on Tuesday. Two unidentified members of the Phoenix Suns have reportedly already tested positive.
