Report: Nets close to adding Lance Thomas
The Brooklyn Nets are nearing an agreement with free-agent forward Lance Thomas, SNY's Ian Begley reports.
Thomas is set to become the team's latest free-agent signing, joining the likes of Michael Beasley and Jamal Crawford.
Four Nets players - Taurean Prince, Spencer Dinwiddie, DeAndre Jordan, and Wilson Chandler - have opted out of the season restart due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic, and the star duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant won't play in Orlando because of injuries.
Thomas, 32, last appeared in the NBA with the New York Knicks during the 2018-19 season, averaging 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 46 appearances.
The Nets sit seventh in the Eastern Conference with a 30-34 record and are set to enter the eight-game seeding portion of the regular season just half a game ahead of the Orlando Magic.
