The NBPA and Russell Westbrook's apparel company are partnering to produce shirts for players that will display messages not approved for game jerseys, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Message options reportedly include: "Systemic Racism"; "Police Reform"; "I Can't Breathe"; "No Justice No Peace"; "Break the Cycle"; "Strange Fruit"; "By Any Means"; "Power to the People"; "Equality"; and "Am I Next?"
The NBA and NBPA jointly approved 29 social justice messages that players can show on their jerseys when games resume this month. However, several players have said the options are too limited.
Westbrook launched his apparel company, Honor The Gift, in 2017.
