Kings' Bagley done for season due to right foot sprain
Sacramento Kings big man Marvin Bagley III will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 season after suffering a lateral right foot sprain in a scrimmage on Sunday, the team announced Tuesday.
It was an injury-plagued second year for the 2018 No. 2 pick. Bagley suffered a non-displaced fracture in his right thumb during the Kings' season opener, sidelining the Duke product until mid-December.
Then, the 21-year-old suffered a left midfoot sprain on Dec. 26, causing him to miss an additional eight games. After returning for four outings, Bagley aggravated his left foot injury in mid-January, which kept him out of action through March 11 when the NBA season was suspended.
The Kings expect Bagley to make a full recovery from his latest ailment.
He averaged 14.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game over 13 appearances in 2019-20.
