New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson has been tested daily since leaving the NBA campus in Orlando and has consistently returned negative results, the team announced Wednesday.
There is still no timetable for his return. However, Williamson "fully intends" to rejoin the team.
Williamson left the Walt Disney World Resort on July 16 for what the team referred to as an "emergency family medical matter."
The 20-year-old will need to quarantine in his hotel room when he returns to the resort. His quarantine period will only last four days if he continues to return daily negative test results while outside the campus, according to ESPN's Malika Andrews.
