The NBA is progressing toward finalizing a plan that would have the eight teams not in the Orlando bubble hold group workouts next month, sources told The Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell.

The plan would reportedly include a week of practice at individual teams' home facilities during the second week of August, followed by two weeks of group workouts hosted by two franchises not involved in the Orlando return. The latter would likely be contingent on NBPA approval.

It was reported earlier this month that the NBA was planning a second bubble in Chicago for squads not involved in the resumption - those eliminated teams have been nicknamed the "Delete Eight." They consist of the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks.

Hornets coach James Borrego said his team is at a competitive disadvantage by not being able to gather for group activities the way that teams involved in the resumption are able to do.
