Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers will be sidelined for an undetermined amount of time due to a subluxation of his left kneecap, the team announced Thursday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey.
Simmons will consider different treatment options. He left Wednesday's win over the Washington Wizards after appearing to injure himself while securing a rebound.
It's bad news for the 24-year-old Australian, who missed time before the NBA hiatus due to a back injury. Simmons has been shifted from point guard to the wing more frequently since the restart commenced, with his scoring and assist totals dropping over the last two games.
