NBA fines Draymond $50K for violating tampering rules after Booker comments
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been fined $50,000 for violating the NBA's anti-tampering rules, the league announced Sunday.
"As announced prior to the start of the 2019-20 season, the NBA has adopted a stricter enforcement approach for conduct relating to tampering, salary cap circumvention, and free agency timing rules, including with respect to the rule prohibiting player-to-player tampering," the NBA's statement said.
Green's punishment is in response to him pleading for Suns guard Devin Booker to leave Phoenix during a recent appearance on TNT's "NBA Tip-Off." He appeared to respond to the league's punishment on Twitter.

"It's not good for him, it's not good for his career," Green said of Booker's current NBA home. He then implored the All-Star to join a team where he can play great basketball on a regular basis.
Booker recently responded to Green's comments after the Suns improved to 5-0 inside the bubble, saying this type of winning basketball is "what we owe to the fans."
Green has a lengthy history of being fined by the NBA that's led him to forfeit more than $800,000 in his career, according to Spotrac. This is the three-time champion's first fine relating to the league's anti-tampering measures.
