The Los Angeles Lakers plan to wear Nike's new "Black Mamba" jersey as a tribute to Kobe Bryant if they advance past the first round of the playoffs, sources told the Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner.
The jersey is set to be released on Aug. 24, which will officially be known in L.A. as "Kobe Bryant Day." It features a black background with the team's yellow trim and a snakeskin print.
"A day doesn't go by when I don't think about him," LeBron James said about Bryant last month.
The Lakers open the first round against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
