Giannis recounts Bucks' emotional phone call with Jacob Blake's father
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo opened up about the conversation the team had with the father of Jacob Blake, the 29-year-old Black man who was shot by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last Sunday.
"We were able to get his family's number in, I feel like, 30 minutes," Antetokounmpo told reporters following the Bucks' 118-104 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday. "We came together as a team, we were in a circle, talked to his dad, and his dad was tearing up, telling us how powerful what we did on that day was for him and his family.
"That's bigger than basketball to me. That's bigger than basketball. Obviously, there's going to be games that you come in, you score 30 points, 35, 50, whatever the case might be. But that ... we're going to remember the way we felt for the rest of our lives."

Blake's father, Jacob Blake Sr., told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on Friday that the Bucks also sent a jersey to his son that was signed by the entire organization, which "made him smile."
The Bucks secured a 4-1 series win with Saturday's victory and will now face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
