Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Dennis Schroder and Houston Rockets big man P.J. Tucker were each fined $25,000 but avoided further discipline for their third-quarter altercation in Game 5 Saturday, the league announced.
While fighting through a screen, Schroder struck Tucker in the groin; Tucker responded by approaching and making contact with Schroder, which the NBA deemed an escalation of the incident, according to the NBA's executive vice president of basketball operations, Kiki VanDeWeghe.
At the time of the altercation, both players were ejected from the Rockets' eventual 114-80 win.
