Marcus Smart's acting job will cost him a minimal fine from the NBA.
The league has fined the Boston Celtics guard $5,000 for a flop during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Toronto Raptors, it announced Wednesday.
Smart went down to the floor after blatantly initiating contact with Pascal Siakam in the third quarter Tuesday. Siakam initially was called for a foul, but Raps coach Nick Nurse challenged the call, overturning it.
