Report: Ibaka signing 2-year, $19M deal with Clippers

Serge Ibaka has agreed to a two-year, $19-million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

The second year of Ibaka's contract contains a player option, Wojnarowski adds.

The Clippers are utilizing the full $9.25-million mid-level exception to acquire the big man.

Ibaka will serve as a replacement for outgoing big man Montrezl Harrell, who signed with the rival Los Angeles Lakers on the opening day of free agency.

After a three-plus season run with the Toronto Raptors, Ibaka is set to reunite with former teammate Kawhi Leonard in Los Angeles. Both Ibaka and Leonard played key roles in the Raptors' championship run in 2019.

Ibaka, 30, averaged 15.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks in 55 games last season. He's likely to play either at the five or alongside starting center Ivica Zubac at power forward with Los Angeles.

With Ibaka leaving, the Raptors are still attempting to convince fellow big man Marc Gasol to return, according to Wojnarowski.
