The Oklahoma City Thunder selected Michigan State point guard Cassius Winston with the No. 53 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Winston's draft rights, along with a 2024 second-round pick, were then traded to the Washington Wizards in exchange for rising second-year pro Admiral Schofield and the draft rights to Czech guard Vit Krejci, who was selected No. 37 overall on Wednesday.
Winston, 22, leaves the Spartans after four seasons as one of the most decorated players in school history. He led them to the Final Four in 2019 and ended his collegiate career as the Big Ten's all-time leader in assists.
