The Indiana Pacers are bringing on former NBA player Greg Foster as an assistant on first-time head coach Nate Bjorkgren's coaching staff, The New York Times' Marc Stein reports.
As a backup big man, Foster played for nine teams from 1990-03, most predominantly the Utah Jazz. He was also a member of the Los Angeles Lakers' title-winning team in 2000-01.
The 52-year-old served on Lloyd Pierce's Atlanta Hawks staff for the past two seasons after stints with the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers.
