The Atlanta Hawks are open to trading the No. 6 pick in the upcoming Nov. 18 draft for veteran talent, sources told ESPN's Zach Lowe.
The Hawks have amassed a collection of young, first-round talent in recent drafts, including Trae Young, John Collins, Kevin Huerter, DeAndre' Bembry, Cam Reddish, and De'Andre Hunter.
However, with 43-year-old Vince Carter retiring after the 2019-20 season and 32-year-old Jeff Teague hitting free agency, the Hawks are suddenly short on veteran experience. Next to 31-year-old Dewayne Dedmon, the second-oldest player on the Hawks' roster heading into the offseason is 26-year-old Clint Capela.
Since acquiring Young in a draft-day trade in 2018, the Hawks have gone 49-100 (.329) under head coach Lloyd Pierce.
