The Detroit Pistons have shown interest in taking Florida State forward Patrick Williams with the No. 7 pick in next week's NBA draft, sources told ESPN's Jonathan Givony.
Williams' stock has risen during the pre-draft process after being projected as a mid-first-round pick coming off one season with the Seminoles. A prototypical modern NBA forward prospect, the 19-year-old is an athletic defender with a still-raw offensive game.
The Pistons have also been linked to several guards heading into the draft, including LaMelo Ball, Tyrese Haliburton, and Killian Hayes.
The draft will be held on Nov. 18.
