The Memphis Grizzlies waived forward Mario Hezonja, the team announced Friday.
Hezonja didn't report to the Grizzlies' training camp and wasn't projected to make the team. Memphis acquired the 25-year-old from the Portland Trail Blazers in the three-way draft night trade that sent Enes Kanter to Portland from the Boston Celtics.
The Grizzlies also received the rights to draft pick Desmond Bane as part of the transaction.
Hezonja, the No. 5 pick in the 2015 draft, has averaged 6.9 points in 330 NBA games with three teams.
