Cavaliers' Love to have calf strain re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love will have his right calf strain re-evaluated in three to four weeks after reaggravating the injury against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, the team announced.

Love initially suffered the strain during the Cavaliers' first preseason game. The 32-year-old was held out of Cleveland's three remaining exhibition contests and missed the team's season-opener against the Charlotte Hornets.

The five-time All-Star exited Sunday's game during the first half and did not return.

Love is set to earn $31.2 million in each of the next two seasons, then $28.9 million during the 2022-23 campaign.

Cedi Osman and Larry Nance Jr. should help fill the void in Cleveland's frontcourt while Love is out of action.
