Butler out for 2nd straight game vs. Bucks with right ankle sprain
Miami Heat All-Star Jimmy Butler will miss his second consecutive game due to a right ankle sprain, according to the NBA's 1:30 p.m. injury report.
Butler suffered the injury during Miami's season-opening loss to the Orlando Magic on Dec. 23. He played nearly 36 minutes in that contest and also suited up for the team's Christmas Day tilt against the New Orleans Pelicans but exited that game after the first half.
With Butler unavailable, the Heat suffered a 47-point defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, the first night of a back-to-back. Miami is set to face the Bucks again Wednesday in the final meeting between the two teams this season at AmericanAirlines Arena.
The 31-year-old forward is averaging 11.5 points, six assists, 4.5 rebounds, and four steals through two appearances this season.
