The 26-year-old Bosnian was sidelined for almost a year and a half after breaking his leg in March 2019. He returned to action in last summer's bubble and is averaging 10.3 points and 7.6 rebounds this season.
An extended absence for Nurkic will likely result in more minutes for Enes Kanter and Harry Giles.
The Blazers lost to the Pacers, 111-87.
