Luka after Mavs' 4th straight loss: It looks like 'we don't care'
The Dallas Mavericks are struggling after losing four consecutive games and seven of their last nine contests, with the latest defeat coming Friday against the red-hot Utah Jazz.
Mavs star Luka Doncic didn't hold back when discussing his team's lack of fight after the lopsided 120-101 loss, the club's second straight to Utah.
"Right now, it's looking like we don't care, honestly, if we win games or not," Doncic said postgame, courtesy of Fox Sports Southwest.
"There's a lot of things that we can improve, and I know we will. I know we will, and that's all that matters," he added.
Doncic has played well during his team's slide, registering 25-plus points in five straight games. However, the squad's apparent lack of desire bothers the Slovenian.
"I've never felt like this, and we've got to do something, because it's not looking good," he said. "We've got to step up, just talk to each other, play way better than this. It's mostly effort."
The Mavericks are 13th in the West with an 8-11 record. Meanwhile, the Jazz improved to a conference-best 15-4 following their 11th straight victory.
