Monday's game between the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets was postponed shortly before the contest's 9 p.m. ET tipoff, the NBA announced.
The late decision is the result of inconclusive COVID-19 testing among Pistons players. The club wouldn't have been able to meet the minimum of eight players dressed.
The postponement is the 23rd of the season, and it comes amid stricter contact-tracing initiatives aimed at stopping the spread of the virus among players and staff.
The Pistons are expected to play their schedule game Tuesday in Utah against the Jazz, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
